Millwork Shop Office Services
With over 24 years in experience working in the millwork industry I have gained a vast knowledge of everything pertaining to cabinet and millwork construction materials and construction methods, design technology, pricing, project management requirements and shop processes. I have worked mainly inside the office environment in shops and remote working, and I spent a long time as project manager coordinating fabrication details with shop employees. I know the industry inside and out. I focus mainly now on providing project management to the Millwork Drafting Services business I own. And I’m also planning to release my own millwork estimating and project mangement software in the coming months.
Web Design, Graphics and Branding
I have been working on web site design and development for 9 years. I use my creativity and artistic skills combined with business knowledge of marketing and branding to provide the best quality designs I can imagine. I design all my own personal web sites, and I have had dozens over the years learning all aspects of the web design process, from logo designs to content creation, front end wire framing and design processes, to working with teams of back end developers to assist me with coding of advanced systems that were beyond my personal skillset. I also work with dozens of industry professionals, and I am able to act as a project manager on any type of design or development projects to develop a high quality end product.
System Implementation
To implement a new system you must have a team of “wanters.” Everybody wants something and needs something. You must first collaborate and motivate the team to want to achieve success. Motivation is a key element to effectively implementing any new system.
Process Improvement
You can’t manage what you can’t measure. You must implement a tracking system to define and control problems. Process improvement is about analyzing and improving upon what is already in place. To be successful you must focus on continuous improvement.
Project Management
A project is a temporary endeavor to create a unique product, service or result. You must first define the project’s scope and resources, and a project has a defined beginning and end in time. What is your project? What is your goal you would like to achieve?
